Terms & Conditions of Use

COPYRIGHT:

All images and products on this website are copyrighted by Dale O’Dell. That means you’ve got to ask permission to download anything from this site. Just email and let us know.

REPRODUCTION RIGHTS:

Downloading images from this site grants the user the right to use the image (after you email us and let us know you’re downloading an image) for comprehensive layout (comp) purposes only. It does not grant permission or license reproduction rights nor transfer copyright. Contact the studio manager at 1-800-390- 9435 to purchase reproduction rights. At that time you can order a hi-res digital file or original transparency for reproduction. The cost of reproduction rights is determined by many factors including exposure, distribution, size of reproduction, press-run etc. In most cases, personal use of the imagery is permitted, but please contact us first.

DERIVATIVE WORKS:

A derivative work is anything derived from a preexisting creation. Incorporation of any image involving manipulation, cloning, copying, tracing, retouching, inclusion (even in part) in a collage or montage, shrinking, stretching, lightening/darkening, changing color, use as artist reference or in any other way changing the original is considered a derivative work. Reproduction rights must be purchased for any image incorporated in a derivative work. Under the U.S. Copyright Act, the creator of the original work (that would be Dale O’Dell for all images on this site) owns the copyright to all works derived from the original. So, if all or part of your work has been derived from the original work you do not own the copyright to the original or the derivative work. There is an urban myth that if you change an image by a certain percent, it's changed enough to now be yours. That's a myth, it's not true.

Innocent copyright infringement is serious business and willful infringement is very serious indeed! Since we’re in the business of providing artworks for reproduction we do enforce our copyright. Be nice, be honest, be fair ---contact the studio for permission. You’ve been warned!
