If an album sells, it's because of great music; if it doesn't sell, it has bad cover art."
---anonymous record company executive |
| Great cover art won't necessarily sell a CD but it can help. Interesting and unique artwork
grabs the buyers' attention, stimulates their curiosity and reflects the atomosphere of the
music. After the buyer checks out the CD cover, they usually check out the music and
that's what sells CDs. For years I've worked as a freelance artist producing eye-grabbing
imagery for publication by advertisers and magazines. I also listen to a lot of independently-
produced music. I appreciate and enjoy the music you make and realize, because you're
independent, you may have 'budget constraints.' But just because you're not on a
major label does not mean you can't have major cover art.
If you're making music because you love it and you're not on a big-time corporate label,
I can provide affordable artwork.
